sensex closes flat

It was a disappointing close for the market that lost most of the day's gains to close flat. Sensex closed at 17825, ended flat marginal gain of 19 points and Nifty at 5255, down 15 points from the previous close. The CNX Midcaps index was up 0.4% and BSE Smallcaps index was up 0.1%.
