Fire Mishap In Chennai

A major fire broke out in a commercial area in the city in the morning hours of Friday but no injuries were reported,according to police.

Sixteen fire tenders and three foam tenders along with 150 personnel were engaged in the fire-fighting operations at two chemical companies at Nainiappan Naicker Street in Parrys corner.The fire first broke out in a chemical company and later spread to another.
The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, police said adding the losses were said to be running into several lakhs of Rupees.
