BJP TRAIN GUNS AGAINST UPA GOVT

BJP plans to raise terrorism, farmers suicides, price-rise and the Indo-US nuclear deal in the upcoming Budget session of Parliament commencing from Monday.
The BJP is expected to step up the offensive on the Congress-led UPA Government and put it on the mat on crucial issues affecting the common man. The BJP plans to raise the issues during the discussion on motion of thanks on President's address to the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament, as also on during the discussion on the general budget.

The party is also likely to raise issues of step-motherly treatment to the NDA-ruled States and demand early Assembly elections in Karnataka, before the expiry of the President's rule in May-end.

Raising the pitch, BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar targeted Congress president Sonia Gandhi for extending lip-sympathy to farmers during her recent visit to her parliamentary constituency of Rae Bareli, even as 11 more farmers committed suicide in the last 72 hours in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.

Three farmers from Amaravati and Washim district and 2 from Yavatmal and 1 each from Bhandara, Nagpur and Wardha ended their lives. Farmers suicides continue unabated and the figure since January 1 has crossed over 140 in the last 50 days.

Javadekar accused the Congress of shedding crocodile tears on the plight of farmers without any concrete action plan. The Congress economics deprived the farmers of just remunerative prices.
