At least 25 militants and three soldiers were killed in intense clashes in the restive northern Sri Lanka as fighter jets bombed a LTTE base on Monday, officials said.
Sri Lanka Air force supersonic fighter jets pounded on the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) communication base located in general area Kulamurippu, six km North East of Oddusudan, in northern Mulaitivu this afternoon, the Defence ministry said.
